Middle School and High School Science Teacher

I have been a teacher for nearly three decades and am thrilled to join the Compass Prep family! My experience includes running a tutoring business for eight years, focusing on individualized learning. I taught Chemistry and Physical Science at Dominion Christian, and mentored at Kennesaw State University's Bagwell College of Education.

In the Cobb County School District, I taught various science courses at middle and high school levels. I also taught for the Department of Defense Schools in Germany and Clark County Schools in Nevada.

I've received awards like "D Quadrant Teacher of the Month," "Sustained Superior Performance," and was a Lockheed Martin Fellow. I served as moderator for the Central European "Academy of Teachers of Mathematics and Science Conference" and earned top performance evaluations in Cobb County. I also advise the University of Tennessee's College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences.

My goals are to inspire students, simplify complex concepts, promote critical thinking, and create an engaging and respectful classroom environment. I love crafts, reading, traveling, the University of Tennessee, and spending time with my family and pets.
